預防性修護

We provide clients with suggestions for the best conditions and environment for artworks and antiques. The primary goal of preventive conservation is to identify and reduce potential hazards to artworks with thoughtful control of their surroundings. We provide packing/storage materials testing, environmental monitoring of storage and display environments, collection assessment, integrated pest management and risk management. We aim to provide a balance between the preservation needs of the object and the viewing/enjoyment requirements of the client.

我們將嘗試為客戶提供或建議藝術品和古董存放的最佳條件和環境。預防性修護主要的目標是通過控制收藏品周圍的環境，以減低對文化遺產的潛在危害：其中包括材質檢測，環境監測與控制，典藏環境，館藏評估，綜合病蟲害管理，風險評估。以確保在器物保存需求和客戶觀賞需求之間取得平衡。

Interventive conservation

干預性修護

Interventive conservation refers to any act by a conservator on an individual object that involves a direct interaction between the conservator and the cultural material. These interventive treatments may involve cleaning, stabilizing, or repair of the original object. The techniques and materials applied are chosen for their compatibility with the original material, for reversibility and/or durability. Complete documentation of the work is carried out before, during, and after the treatment. 

干預性修護是指修復師主要集中於器物上的所有操作，是指修復師與文物之間直接的互動。干預性修護是包括清潔，表面加固，或修復器物表面等。修護過程中所採用的技法和材料皆具有可逆性和/或耐候性。並且會在修護前，修護中及修護後都會對修復工作進行完整的紀錄。

Restoration

修復

Restoration is direct intervention aiming to return an object to a condition and appearance close to the original visual form. The aim of restoration is to preserve and reveal the aesthetic and historical value of a cultural property and implies the addition of non-original materials such as fillers, pigments and coatings. 

Although no claims are made that restoration can return a work of art to its original condition, when done sensitively, restoration can certainly greatly improve a damaged or neglected work of art and together with appropriate barriers/coatings, protect the work from further deterioration so that it may be enjoyed by future generations.

修復是將物件恢復到接近原始的視覺形式或條件的狀態。目的是保存和揭示文物的美學和歷史價值，修復過程中會採用原物料或接近的材料去達到視覺上更原貌的視覺效果。

儘管藝術品修復並不會將藝術品帶回到它原來的狀態。但有需要時，藝術品修復確實能很好的改善已損壞或疏忽照顧的藝術品；通過適當的處理來保護該藝術品免於進一步惡化。使得藝術作品能夠被世代流傳。
